Paging File Size

For the best performance, you should set the initial paging file size to be at least twice the amount of your system RAM. To check or modify the paging file settings, right-click My Computer and choose Properties. When the System dialog box opens, click the Advanced tab, and then the Settings button in the Performance area. Click the Change button on the Virtual Memory area. Click on the drive that you want your Paging file to be on, usually your C:\ drive, and make the changes you want. Click the Custom size radio button. Set the Initial Size in MB to be at least twice the amount of system RAM you have. For best performance, set the Maximum size to the same amount. When you're done, click the Set button and then the OK button. Click OK until all of the dialogs are gone. You'll have to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
